Modern Theatre

There are many different types of performances that take place in a theatre. Plays and musicals are the most common, but there are also operas, ballets, and other types of shows. The acting, costumes, and staging all play a part in creating the perfect performance. The concert hall or auditorium is also an important part of the theatre experience. There is something special about live theatre that cannot be replicated in any other art form. When you see a play or musical theatre performance, you are seeing the culmination of months (or sometimes years) of hard work by the actors, directors, costume and set designers, and everyone else involved in putting on the show.
